First Time Supervisor
When a person starts managing others for the first time, it can be overwhelming. Often a person with great technical skill is promoted and now faces all those people issues. The first time supervisor has to look at situations from a new angle, interact with people at a different level, and deal with the awkward nature of being at a different level that his/her previous co-workers. First Time Supervisor addresses these issues to prepare a person to enter the world of supervisor with more confidence.

Facilitating Effective Meetings
Recently a workplace survey indicated up to 50% of meetings were thought to result in no real value to the organization. If you estimate the cost of employee’s time invested in meetings are you getting a return on your investment? Like many activities in organizations, meetings can be looked at as a tool or a means to an end. They should not exist solely for their own sake. In Facilitating Effective Meetings participants will develop the knowledge and skills needed to lead and facilitate meetings that produce results.

Understanding Business Better (Business Simulation)
This exciting, hands-on learning experience will help employees understand how businesses work. Featuring a highly interactive, state of the art web-based business simulation program, Understanding Business Better will equip employees with the requisite knowledge and skills to link on-the-job decisions to corporate success. Learners will see how market conditions affect their strategic and tactical decisions through multiple simulated cycles of business operations. A seasoned facilitator guides learners through the 2-day simulation, reinforces sound business principles, and helps the learners understand how the learning relates to their jobs.

Conducting Performance Appraisals
Yearly performance reviews are critical. An effective performance appraisal can motivate employees by establishing realistic performance objectives and identifying training and development needs to improve performance. Failing to address performance issues ultimately decreases morale, credibility of management, and the organization's overall effectiveness. In this interactive session, learners will understand how to conduct effective performance appraisals that make a difference.

Building Effective Teams
Leading a team is about getting things done – together – in a timely fashion. It’s about doing the right things and doing things right. The secret of team performance is managing both the process and the people aspects. With a combination of assessments, developmental coaching and skills training, participants will learn interpersonal skills to create a foundation for increasing team performance, productivity, and satisfaction.

Coaching
You can be a cop or you can be a coach. What’s the difference and what difference does it make? In this Coaching workshop, the principles and applications of business coaching are examined and put into action. Participants will define skills needed for coaching, assess their coaching skills, and learn and practice coaching skills.

Foundation(s) of Leadership
The Foundation of Leadership session is designed to help leaders understand the foundation and application of beneficial leadership styles and behaviors. This session sets the framework for designing an action plan for furthering the ability to lead others, get things done and obtain results. Action plans will be used in the session and with the participant’s individual leaders.

Managing Change in a Changing Workplace
Adapting to changing business conditions and environments is crucial for an organization to thrive in today’s economy. Guaranteed, by responding to external changes internal changes will follow. The formation of new teams, working for and with different people, new work responsibilities and processes, new organizational leadership are all changes that impact employees and if not managed effectively can impact productivity. Managing Change in a Changing Workplace prepares both employees and leaders to view change as necessary and positive rather than something threatening. A supplemental learning session design especially for supervisors and managers provides the leaders with the skills to implement and communicate change in a positive and constructive way.

Motivating Employees
Managing and leading are about getting things done through people….right? Easier said than done. The difference between what employees can do and will do depends much on their level of motivation. How do you motivate employees? The answer is both simple and complex. You can not motivate your employees... but you can help them motivate themselves. You can create an environment where employees can become motivated and stay motivated. The very word motivation means having a motive or reason. Motivating Employees provides a leader with a strong understanding of what it takes to create a motivating environment that taps into the internal and external motives of their team members.

Transferring Training into Performance
You invest hours of your employee’s day to go to a training seminar. You expect and should get a return on that investment. What needs to take place BEFORE, DURING and AFTER training to assure employee training ultimately impacts employee performance? Supervisors and managers are crucial to link training to an employee’s performance. Transferring Training into Performance will provide supervisors and managers with easy and quick methods to support employees as they use new information and newly developed skills. Results go beyond the training event into day-to-day behavioral changes and performance improvement.
