What are the goals of the Employee Giving Campaign?
The purpose of the Employee Giving Campaign is to educate all Davenport employees about the opportunities to invest in the institution that invests in them, create a culture of philanthropy, and increase scholarship and program aid to help our students reach their educational and career goals.
Why should I participate in Employee Giving?
It is important that all employees participate in the Employee Giving Campaign. When the Advancement Office seeks gifts from corporations and foundations, we provide information on the overall participation rate of employees in annual giving. Participation in annual giving is an important indicator of employee satisfaction and college stability. High rates of employee giving help the university receive more funding so every gift, regardless of size, is important.
Making Davenport affordable to students and diversifying revenue from tuition dependency are top priorities in Vision 2015. Every student who chooses Davenport should have access to some form of financial support. Employees can help achieve this by participating in the Employee Giving Campaign.
Employees can choose where their contributions are used. General scholarship funds are set up for each campus so your contribution can assist a student in your area. Also, 100% of your gift to the Davenport Fund is used for scholarship or program support. No portion is ever deducted for administrative costs.
