Orientation

Welcome to Orientation!

We have developed an orientation program that is designed with ALL of our students in mind. We want to make sure that students have the necessary tools and skills to be successful. The entire University community has come together to support students’ success and assist students as they transition to college life through orientation.

Have you not yet applied for Davenport University?

Our orientation program has four primary goals:

  1. To help students succeed academically by providing wide-ranging resources and information on academic requirements, course offerings, and Davenport’s academic climate.
  2. To provide resources about the university’s support offices, such as Financial Aid, Student Services and Career Services.
  3. To support students in their personal and social development, introducing them to a host of involvement opportunities, cultural experiences and campus services.
  4. To provide an easy transition no matter where the student may be located or what type of classes (on line or in seat) that they are taking.

The orientation process that students go through depends on the type of student (traditional, non-traditional, or online) and campus they are attending.
