STAR Program® University

STAR Program® University provides comprehensive training in cancer rehabilitation for current and future healthcare professionals enrolled in Davenport’s College of Health Professions—including nursing, allied health and, when launched, physical therapy and occupational therapy students. Davenport is the first university in the nation to incorporate the STAR Program University courses into its curriculum.

STAR Program University courses provide unparalleled training in cancer rehab, enabling healthcare professionals-in-training to advance their knowledge and clinical skills in an exciting and rapidly expanding area of rehabilitation medicine that has many unmet needs. Participants become STAR Clinician® Certified upon successful completion of the STAR Program University Training Modules and graduation from DU—providing an important distinction on the resumes of these graduates as they enter the healthcare marketplace.

Hospitals and cancer centers throughout the United States recognize the STAR Clinician certification as the gold standard in cancer rehabilitation training.
