Davenport University offers several seminars to help project management professionals effectively manage both the process and the people side of projects. As a Global Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.), Corporate Services is approved by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to offer project management training for Professional Development Units (PDU).

We have met strict criteria and requirements to assure that the project management training we deliver meets or exceeds PMI’s global standards. All of our courses can be offered on-site and customized for your organization. Some may be available Online or in a public seminar format.

Project Management Fundamentals

This course will provide novice through intermediate project managers with an understanding of project management methodology, principles and techniques. Hands-on exercises, participative discussion, and interactive case studies will supplement the concepts taught. This course has been approved for 7.5 PDUs.

Corporate Services is now accepting registrations for the next Project Management Fundamentals course.

Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam Prep

This intensive course will help experienced project managers master the generally accepted principles of project management and prepare to pass the prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam. PMP®-certified instructors will enforce learning with hands-on activities, group exercises, case studies and review questions. This course can be offered Online or in a traditional classroom environment and has been approved for 22.5 - 36 PDUs.

Building Productive Stakeholder Relationships

Research indicates that behavioral style differences account for up to 38% of workplace conflict and miscommunication. Under the stress of meeting project objectives, these differences can become even more disruptive. This course will help project managers build more productive relationships and streamline communication through behavioral style understanding. Students will participate in interactive discussion of case studies, group exercises, and complete the DiSC® profile. This course has been approved for 3.75 PDUs.

Presentation Skills for Project Managers

Effective presentation skills are important communication tools used to inform, present or persuade. A poor presentation can be costly – you can lose your audience and your credibility. In this highly participative course for project managers of all levels, students will review their own videotaped presentations and receive feedback. This course has been approved for 3.75 PDUs.

Facilitating Effective Project Team Meetings

The ROI of a project team meeting depends on the facilitation skills of the project manager as meeting leader. Students will engage in interactive group exercises, role playing, and hands-on activities. This 4-hour session has been approved for 3.75 PDUs.

Introduction to MS Project 2003

Microsoft Project 2003® software can automate many features of project management, increasing efficiency. This introductory course will arm the novice project manager with both theoretical and technical skills needed to succeed. This course has been approved for 6.5 PDUs.
