Chris Hamstra is an Assistant Professor of Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences. He began at Davenport University as an adjunct instructor and moved into a full-time position at the Lettinga Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan in January of 2007. He has worked in radio and television as a disc jockey, cameraman, and sports reporter for several media outlets in the West Michigan area. In addition to his telecommunications work, Chris has also served as a human resource developer for the State of Michigan. His current work focuses on the role of communication in human resource development and how storytelling and appropriate humor in the workplace may improve overall employee satisfaction and development.
