In addition to teaching management, marketing and business courses, Jackie Anderson staffs and supervises approximately a hundred business classes offered online each year. She endorses an “active learning” philosophy by applying hands-on experience and drawing upon community resources to achieve learning outcomes. Jackie is an online student herself as she is working toward a Doctor of Management degree at the University of Maryland.

Jackie joined Davenport as an adjunct faculty member in 2000 and became a full-time faculty member in 2003. In her corporate and consulting careers, she held positions in advertising, brand management and marketing communications at firms ranging from start-up to Fortune 500 including Steelcase, Amway, Target Corp. and Brown Forman Beverages. She is a recipient of the Michigan Campus Compact Faculty/Staff Community Service-Learning Award and a member of business honor societies Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Beta Delta.
