Dr. Julia VanderMolen has been at Davenport University for five years. She started as the Director of Online Instruction and currently serves as the Department Coordinator for Science, Health and Nursing. Julia teaches healthy living, health care research, health promotion and education, environmental health, and anatomy and physiology.
Julia serves as an active member for a number of organizations. She provides grant reviewing and conference proposal reviews to the following organizations: Michigan Association for Computer Users in Learning (MACUL), the International Society of Technology Education (ISTE), the Society of Nutrition Education (SNE), the Society of Public Health Education (SOPHE) and American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). She also serves as a Board Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Health Education Teaching and for the Multimedia Education Resource for Learning and Online Teaching.
Assistant Professor VanderMolen holds several awards and publication recognition's: Teaching in Excellence Award (Davenport University, 2011), Outstanding Technology-Using Educator (MACUL, 2006) and Research Publication Journal Award (Journal of Industrial Teacher Education, 2009).
