Larry Simpson, CPA has extensive experience in senior financial management mostly as a chief financial officer. During his financial career he has been a key part of two turnarounds and has helped companies achieve significant growth. He has negotiated several acquisitions and introduced and enhanced production cost tracking systems. His experience includes designing company-wide and executive compensation plans. Larry has played a key role in strategic planning and was the interim leader of an operating division.

Currently, as well as, teaching Larry provides financial and management consulting services to a variety of organizations including companies, start-ups and non-profit organizations. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting. Larry is the Associate Department Chair for Accounting and Finance for several Davenport campuses, having joined Davenport University on a full-time basis in 2004. He believes that the most important thing that we can do to prepare students for careers in business is to help them develop their cognitive skills.
