Mike Nicholas has been working in the field of education since 1978 in secondary and post-secondary institutions. He has taught at Davenport University in a variety of computer-related and technical subject areas since 1985. His main academic subjects are Systems Analysis, Operating Systems, and PC Repair and Maintenance. Mike also enjoys teaching the College of Technology internships.
If Mike’s voice is familiar to you, you may have heard him on the radio. He conducted a weekly radio show called “Computer Stuff” on AM590 WKZO from 1999 to 2013. He also had a daily radio show called “The Ag Technology Minute” on WKZO in 2013.
Mike contributes to area businesses and the community by assisting them with their websites. He also provides guidance to Davenport students in regard to their computer technology needs.
Mike indicates, “It is really rewarding to see students grasping new technology concepts and then applying them, both in the classroom and in the workplace.” He has maintained contact with many of his students over the years and enjoys seeing them being successful in their careers.
