Todd Terry has taught for Davenport University for almost five years and oversees management, general business, and human resource courses at the Holland, Kalamazoo and Battle Creek campuses. Before entering the educational arena, Todd worked for a Michigan-based retail company in various management positions for 16 years. During that time, he also started and developed a multi-million dollar distribution business which has expanded internationally. In his spare time, Todd works with entrepreneurs and small businesses owners in the medical and dental fields to help them understand the importance of management concepts.
One of his most valued instructional experiences is when he worked with Michigan’s Youthful Offender Program. He had the privilege of teaching convicted felons who were working on a college-level degree in retailing or small business management.
Todd believes the focus of teaching is student learning. He states, “I am a tour guide on the path of awareness. I strive to provide a stimulating atmosphere where a student feels secure in their endeavor to grow and mature intellectually and socially in a diverse environment.”
