John joined Davenport University in March 2009 as Assistant Director of Learning Technology.  In this role he oversaw the design and development of e-learning programs, multimedia projects, and learning management systems to support internal staff, faculty, and leadership development. 

John possesses over 15 years of experience in graphic design, instructional technology, and web management in a variety of industries including financial services, higher education, and manufacturing.  John has led numerous technology training workshops, served as guest lecturer for graduate-level courses, and has facilitated live webcasts to global audiences. He has extensive background in the non-profit and for-profit sectors.

Business/Organizational Leadership Experience

John was a co-founder of an e-learning multimedia production company based in Grand Rapids, MI, where he also served as Director of Operations. With a primary focus on process improvement, quality assurance and client relations, he managed large-scale projects including the development of interactive sales training  and high-volume redesigns of clients' existing e-learning course libraries.

John has presented locally and nationally on topics such as learning technology and social learning.

Education and Training

John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Visual Arts Administration from Aquinas College, and is currently pursuing a Master of Management degree from Davenport University.
