Davenport University partners with Farmers Insurance Group to provide you affordable opportunities to advance your career and your education.
As a Farmers employee, Davenport offers you a 10% tuition discount off of online and in-seat classes (excludes nursing classes). Additionally, through membership with the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, Farmers employee spouses and dependents are also eligible for a 10% discount. (*Discount can not be combined with any other academic scholarship) This adds up to significant savings!
Davenport has also agreed to transfer many University of Farmers training programs as credit through an articulation agreement:

Davenport has worked with Farmers to develop a new Risk Management and Insurance specialty within the Management program. This program will prepare students to help individuals and businesses identify and manage risks and understand the relationship of appropriate insurance product and related service solutions. It will also prepare students for national exams leading to professional designations. Please click here for more information on the specialty program, including a list of specific courses offered.
In addition to the bachelor's degree specialty offering, Davenport has developed a post-baccalaureate certificate in Risk Management and Insurance for those students who have already earned a bachelor's degree. Please click here for more information on the post-baccalaureate certificate program.
RE: Changes to Davenport University Tuition Discounts
As part of Davenport University’s annual budgeting process, we review the tuition discounts offered to valued partner organizations such as yours. To ensure we continue to provide an added benefit to your membership and also maintain a healthy financial position for the University, the decision has been made to adjust the discount offered to all of our partner organizations from 20% to 10%, effective November 11, 2013. (We will continue to honor the 20% discount for any students who applied to DU prior to this date.)
We believe the new 10% discount continues to represent a tremendous benefit for Farmers employees and better allows Davenport to manage its finances in an increasingly competitive higher education environment. Quality initiatives such as the new academic programs like Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, new state-of-the-art labs, and improvements to supplemental instruction and curriculum, along with rising operating costs that have an impact on all organizations, are factored into this change. Our investments in quality further increase the value of the degrees DU students earn – and the benefit offered to Farmers employees.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We look forward to continuing to serving students “Get Where the World is Going” in the fields of Business, Technology and Health Professions.
