You may be required to complete placement testing when you begin your classes at Davenport University. These tests determine your current proficiency in core subjects areas. Other Testing Services
Make-up Tests
Many Campus Libraries offer Make-up Testing services for students and faculty. If a student misses a scheduled test in class, the instructor may allow the student to take or re-take the test with a proctor present. The student must make every effort to avoid missing class-time tests. The make-up testing service is not to be used casually and must be used judiciously by the instructor where the student's circumstances merit it.
- Testing Dates: Students must take tests during their campus library testing hours. [22]
- Cost: No fee for DU Students.
- You must present a photo ID before taking the test.
GR - W.A. Lettinga Faculty: To have the testing center proctor a make-up test, please fill out the Instructor Data Sheet [23] PDF and Make-up Test Form [24] PDF and return them to the Library Service Desk or e-mail them to testcenter@davenport.edu [25].
- Because of space limitations, please do not leave more than 5 make-up tests at a time.
- Department Coordinators must approve make-up final tests.
Proctoring Distance Learning Tests
Davenport University provides individualized test proctoring services at some of its Campus Libraries. You do not need to be a DU student to take advantage of this service. Proctoring is by appointment only, so please have the test provider (educational institution, employer, or certification agency) contact the DU location [26] that will proctor the test to arrange for testing materials to be delivered. A SASE must accompany the testing materials from the test provider.
- Testing Dates: By appointment only.
- Cost: No cost for DU students, faculty, staff, and alumni; $25 for non-DU affiliates. (Personal checks are not accepted at the W. A. Lettinga campus.)
- You must present a photo ID before taking the test.
- Please specify whether a computer will be needed for the test.
