What if I don't live within 60 miles of a Davenport campus? Schedule a Distance Proctored MFT [1].
The Major Field test (MFT) is an exam given nationally that measures the understanding of the core business concepts of accounting, economics, informations systems, marketing and management. This exam will allow you to gage your readiness for a career in business as well as your abilities in comparison to others in your field. It will aid Davenport University in its refinement of curriculum and programs.
The exam will take approximately 3 hours to complete and is made up of three individually timed, 1hour sections and a required survey. You are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled testing time to sign in.
Sample questions and further information regarding the test are available at http://ets.org/mft/about [3]
The Major Field Test is a graduation requirement for the Associates (ABA) and Bachelors (BBA) of Business Administration degrees. Your advisor will enroll you in the BUSN288T or BUSN488T Major Field Test class in your final semester before graduation.
Please contact the Major Field Test Desk at majorfield@davenport.edu [4] to ensure that your accommodation requirements are noted. When you arrive for the test, you will also need to ensure that the proctor is notified so that they can ensure the proper accommodations are elected before approving the test to launch. This often requires a few extra minutes as accommodations must be handled on an individual basis at time of testing through contact with the test provider, ETS.
If you have missed your test or need to reschedule, contact your advisor.
Please go to MFT Distance Proctoring [1] for directions on how to schedule to take the MFT somewhere other than a Davenport campus.
See Major Field Testing - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) [5]. Please see your advisor or contact the Davenport Major Field Test Staff at majorfield@davenport.edu [4] or 616-698-7111 x5485.
