Online Textbooks

For many classes at Davenport, you will find an electronic textbook option available when you view textbooks on the MBS portal. However, for selected online classes, Davenport requires that you use an online text.

Math030, Math125 and English110

Davenport requires electronic textbooks (eBooks) in several online courses to provide students with instant access to all course materials on the first day of the class. For students enrolled in online sections of Math030, Math125 and English110 your eBook also includes access to online interactive learning labs that have been customized for your class. All of these materials are completely online so you can access them from home, school, work, etc.

If you are enrolled in one of the following courses, there will be no need for you to purchase textbooks or wait for them to be delivered. The fee for the eBooks will be charged as a course fee and included on your tuition billing statement. In order to provide this access to all students enrolled in these courses from Day 1 of the term, the course fee will be charged on your tuition billing statement.

As with other course fees, you cannot opt out of the course fee since it represents an important component of your learning in the class. Also, as with other course fees, your financial aid may be applied to these charges. Please note that these course fees are subject to the policies on course fees outlined in the DU course catalog.

Please note: if you drop the course before the class starts then the e-book charge is refunded. However, if you withdraw after the course start date, the e-book charge is not refunded.
