Medical Assisting, Diploma

This program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs at Battle Creek, Caro and the W.A. Lettinga campus (www.caahep.org) upon recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE).  The program is designed to prepare competent entry-level medical assistants in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains. Graduates are prepared in the basics of patient care, basic laboratory practices and medical office procedures.  The graduate is eligible to take the certification exam of the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) and/or the American Medical Technologist Exam (RMA). (At some locations, an option of this program is to complete a phlebotomy concentration, which makes the graduate eligible to write a phlebotomy certification exam.)
