Kathy Aboufadel, PhD, Vice President for Institutional Research & Assessment

Kathy leads the institutional research and assessment team at Davenport University. Kathy serves on a variety of university committees related to institutional development including START, STAY, SUCCEED, Leadership Council (LC) and Site Analysis. She is also responsible for external reporting, statistical analysis, retention research, and course evaluations.


Derick Fedewa, Senior Research Analyst

Derick coordinates periodic and ad hoc research related to institutional productivity, strategic planning, and academic issues. He provides data and analysis support for activities such as program review, assessment, and accreditation. Derick provides project support for academics and other areas of the University.


Kathy Hayden, Data Analyst

Kathy coordinates and assists with institutional research activities focused on the querying, retrieving, summarization, and presentation of institutional data for use in assessment, planning, decision-making, and policy formulation.  She is a member of the Banner Reporting Team and Data Integrity Team.


Janet Maschke, Director of Academic Information Systems

Janet provides leadership and direction for capturing and disseminating Davenport University academic knowledge and information and provides support to academic departments in the design, revision, and manipulation of academic systems and data. She is responsible for the development/maintenance of academic web pages, faculty reports, and several databases supporting faculty management. She is a member of the Banner Reporting Team and Data Integrity Team.


Donna Reynolds, Research Specialist

Donna provides assistance to the IRA department in various capacities and is primarily responsible for project coordination, web survey development, data coding, and telephone interviewing.   She helps coordinate a number of ongoing project including MI Works!, Pre-Appointment, Student Satisfaction, and Graduate Survey.


Steven Stromp, Director of Primary Research

Steven is responsible for the scheduling, development and oversight of all primary research projects involving all university stakeholder groups (potential students, current students, staff/faculty, alumni and the general population).  Steven develops the processes, tools and methodologies to provide the university with insights into consumer behavior, customer satisfaction, brand preferences and product design to support strategic decision-making.
