SUBJECT: New MBA Concurrent Degree Program Now Available

The practice of medicine and veterinary medicine has become more demanding and complex than ever, requiring strong leadership and management skills for individuals entering the health care professions. An MBA with a concentration in Health Care Management will give you that competitive edge in the fast-paced evolving health care system. If you are considering an administration degree in addition to your medical degree, you can acquire one without ever leaving St. Matthew’s University.

St. Matthew’s has partnered with Davenport University to offer a unique opportunity for SMU students to attain an MBA with a concentration in Health Care Management online, while completing your degree. Davenport University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Davenport offers its MBA program completely online, including registration, textbook purchase, and financial aid application, with no on-campus requirements. You can attend classes anytime, 24/7, providing the convenience and flexibility for a busy medical student.

The MBA concentration in Health Care Management focuses on strategic, financial, and ethical decision-making skills in an evolving health care environment, preparing you to lead with a global perspective. Davenport is committed to academic excellence. Faculty members are academically credentialed, trained and certified to teach online, many of them leaders in their field. First, you may be eligible to transfer up to 15 graduate credits toward your MBA provided they were completed with an earned B or better. Second, students enrolled in the Davenport University MBA program are eligible to apply for full federal financial aid, including the cost of living, for as long as they are enrolled in the Davenport MBA program no matter where they are located. Third, St. Matthew’s students will receive a ten percent tuition discount at Davenport University.
