NSLS Member Participation
To be eligible for induction into the Society as a member, you first must be formally invited by your college, or you must complete a nomination form and have it approved by the appropriate university official on campus. Invitations are sent out prior to the Fall and Winter semesters.
Participating members must complete the following requirements prior to becoming inducted to DU's chapter:
- Attend the orientation session
- Attend three Success Networking Team meetings
- Participate in Leadership Training Day
- Attend or watch three speakers from the NSLS speaker series.
The NSLS also offers an online chapter as an option for students who might not be geographically close to campus or prefer a more flexible option.

The deadline to complete requirements for the April/May induction ceremonies is noon on Friday, March 30th. Those that do not complete the requirements by that time will have the opportunity to finish up next fall.
Submit an Award Nomination - deadline is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27th!

Submit your Speaker Broadcast Summary.
If you were unable to attend a live broadcast or rebroadcast, you can review the current speakers online through the Society page. Complete the webform below to submit your summary of the presentation to receive credit. You will be asked to log into the Davenport network. You will only receive credit for speakers that aired live after you joined the Society. For example, if you joined in January 2012, you can get credit for the 3 speakers airing in February and March 2012. You are encouraged to watch the speakers from fall 2011 and prior, however, they wouldn't count towards your requirements.
Alton Brown
The Alton Brown presentation is no longer available for rebroadcast. "A Game Plan for Success" by Lou Holtz covers similar topics and can be viewed for credit. It is available on the Society website.

If you're graduating this year, you may purchase and wear NSLS honor cords during DU's Commencement.
- Purchase cords from the Society page for $17.
- The stole and tassel charm are not approved to wear for DU's ceremony.
- You can only purchase the cords if you have completed the requirements necessary for induction in NSLS.
