China in the Age of Transformation

3 Weeks in China!

“To use the cliché line that going to China was the experience of a lifetime is a vast understatement”

Meghan Edgerle: accounting major

Davenport offers you the opportunity to experience China first-hand this summer, the world’s fastest growing economy and a major trading partner with the United States. Students begin their exploration of China at Ningbo University, DU's partner institution, in Ningbo, China, a thriving port city on the East China Sea. Stay in private rooms in campus dorms, make friends with Ningbo students, and visit various global enterprises and cultural sites such as Hangzhou and Putuo Mountain. The program then travels to the financial powerhouse of Shanghai and to the capitol city of Beijing where students experience the Great Wall,  Forbidden City, and Tiananmen Square.
