New for 2013! -- European Global Project Management
Dates: June 7 - 27, 2013
This exciting new program for 2013 is designed for students needing global project management courses and will be centered in two countries -- Germany and France -- offering students opportunities to experience two very different cultures. The Global Project Management Program is organized in collaboration with the long-standing European Business Program. Students will visit several global enterprises, meet with IT departments and personnel, and see a variety cultural sites in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig and Heidelberg, and in the French city of Strasbourg. Accomodations are in hotels while traveling and in a European Chateau in Strasbourg. Some enterprises visited include Mercedes, Steelcase International, and Dow Chemical; cultural sites include the Berlin Wall Memorial, Konigstein Fortress, and the medieval old city of Strasbourg.
Students may choose any 1 or 2 of the following Courses:
- MGMT 735: Managing Projects
- GPMT 350: Principles of Project Management
- GPMT 445: Risk Management
- SABR 381/781 G: The Study Abroad Experience
(Though the experience abroad is for three weeks, coursework is completed in a 12-week format.)
Program Fee: $4,950 includes:
- round-trip airfare
- lodging
- breakfast daily, some corporate lunches and planned dinners
- ground transportation for excursions
- bi-lingual tout guides
- admissions fees for program sites
- health insurance while abroad
Other associated expenses:
- Passport
- Personal expenses (est. $500 -- $700) and some meals
- Standard Davenport tuition
