Bachelor of Science in Nursing - RN Completion
This program is designed for currently licensed registered nurses who are seeking a bachelor's degree in nursing. The bachelor's degree nursing program at Davenport University provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to function in the role of professional nurse, including:

Admission Requirements
Seats are limited and entry is competitive. Applicants must have:
- Current Registered Nurse license (Must be received by end of first semester)
- Associate degree or diploma in nursing with a minimum 60 semester hours of liberal arts and sciences
- Official transcripts from previous nursing program
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.3 from previous nursing program
- Two letters of professional recommendation
- Personal essay expressing the reasons for entering the nursing program and professional goals upon graduation
- Completed criminal background check and drug screening

Transfer Credit (internal or external)
Equivalency requirements for transfer science courses:
- Lab component included
- Completed within the last five years
- Earned grade of C (2.0) or better
Transfer students may take any remaining general education requirements, not fulfilled by transfer credit, concurrent with the nursing program courses. |
Bachelor of Science - 120 - 124 credits
This program is designed for currently licensed registered nurses who are seeking a bachelor’s degree in nursing. This program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. The purpose of the bachelor’s degree nursing program at Davenport University is to prepare the graduates to advance in the nursing profession through the use of critical thinking, advanced assessment skills, communication, collaborating practices, applied research, self-directed learning, leadership and management skills. This program prepares registered nurses for nursing practice of patients and their support systems across the continuum of care and in communities.
Preadmission Requirements:
• Must possess a current active unencumbered and unrestricted Registered Nurse License
• Must have at least a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 from previous nursing program
