Active duty servicemembers who qualify for Tuition Assistance (TA), also are eligible for Davenport University’s military financial benefits.
Through the Federal Armed Forces Tuition Assistance program, you may be eligible for up to:
- $250 per semester credit hour
- $4,500 per fiscal year
As a solider, you’ve taken military and job specific courses that are worth college credit. By accessing your coursework from the Army Transcript Service, AARTS , you will be able to apply credits that you’ve earned toward your associate or bachelor’s degree from Davenport. Many active duty members are able to finish an associates or bachelor’s degree in one to two years.
Get Started with Tuition Assistance
Active duty soldiers should go to the Army portal GoArmyEd.com, for education information. National Guard soldiers should start at VirtualArmory.com. Follow these simple steps to get started; however, since procedures are subject to change, always check with your unit education office or Army website:
- Register at GoArmyEd or VirtualArmory and set up your account (username and password).
- Select Davenport University as your school and ensure you have the correct course information on your paperwork.
- Get approval for your TA and applicable paperwork as outlined by Army policy.
- When you have your approval for college and TA form submitted and approved, contact your Davenport University military services counselor to begin to schedule and finalize your application and program of study.
Note: Consult the Department of Veteran Affairs GI Bill website. If eligible, you can apply at the DAV website.
