Davenport University seeks a strong, strategic leader for the position of Executive Vice President for Enrollment and Student Development. This position is responsible for the development and execution of admissions and enrollment strategic plans resulting in increased enrollment, retention and graduation rates.

Davenport University (DU), with 11,500 students, is the largest private university in Michigan. Its roots reach back to the 19th century and reflect a long tradition of providing affordable, career oriented educational opportunities for students across the state. Today’s DU grew out of the merger of three historically affiliated institutions to allow for better coordination and more effective delivery of education to students on its multiple campuses. Davenport University is organized into three professional schools for health, business, and technology.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Serves on the President’s Leadership Team and Cabinet and advises the President on all enrollment and student service matters.
  • Provides leadership and vision for all admissions and student service functions within the University, including; admissions, call center, financial aid, advising, resident and student life, student services and career services.
  • Establishing enrollment goals, in conjunction with the Cabinet, and meeting those goals.
  • Participates at the board level and develops and implements enrollment strategies.
  • Establishes and maintains consistent models for all student development functions across the University.
