NursingCAS is a centralized admission system which will require students to submit their nursing application and supporting documents in electronic format versus hard-copy/paper format. The new CAS system process will be in place on August 25, 2016 for new applicants. The Nursing CAS system is supported by AACN and offered by CCNE our accrediting agencies. The granddaughter of Davenport University’s namesake and a former provost for the institution have co-authored Davenport: Educating Across Three Centuries, helping the Grand Rapids-based university celebrate its 150th Anniversary. The book tells the story of how a business school started in 1866 by a Civil War veteran grew into one of the largest private, non-profit universities in the state of Michigan.
