The construction of new facilities, classrooms and labs are vital to making a high quality Davenport education available to students to meet the needs of employers in the knowledge-driven environment of the 21st century. Today’s learning environments are ever changing and require continuous investment in programs and facilities used by students, faculty, staff and the community.
Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex
Located on 68th Street just south of the University’s W.A. Lettinga Campus the complex will include a 300-seat baseball stadium, 200-seat softball stadium, eight-court tennis facility, concession area and more.
Peter C. Cook Downtown Center
Named for the late Peter C. Cook, a devoted alumnus, supporter and champion of Davenport, the new Downtown Center houses Davenport’s MBA programs and Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEX), offering certificates and customized training programs for business and industry.
The Student Center has become a hub of campus, alumni and student life on campus. The 1,500-seat field house provides the first home court for our basketball and volleyball teams. The facility’s recreational gym, climbing wall, student activity area, fitness center, café, meeting rooms, and Panther Room also are popular gathering places.
Nursing Simulation Labs
The nursing simulation lab opened in September 2009 at Davenport’s W. A. Lettinga Campus. It replicates a multi-bed hospital with simulated adult and child patients. The simulators for students are very high-tech manikins that enable students to learn in a simulated real-life setting.
