There's no question: College is an exciting time. You'll have new experiences. You'll gain fresh perspectives. And you'll make important decisions. At Davenport University, your health and wellness matter to us.
WellConnect is a program that's been created for you to help balance life, school and work. The student assistance program offers you focused services such as mental and physical health topics, debt and budget management, legal advice and community connections. Remember: You're part of an interconnected community, and there are many tools available to help you succeed.
Balancing the demands of work, school and life can be challenging, and there are times when you may need help to manage these often competing demands. The issues that come up as you navigate through life's complexities can impede your ability to accomplish academic, professional, and personal goals. Davenport's WellConnect program offers services that are designed to help students work through these issues as they arise.
When you are feeling overwhelmed, it can be difficult to pick up the phone and start something new — even if it means you will be getting the help you need. WellConnect offers in-the-moment support, as well as giving you the option to meet with someone face-to-face to discuss your concerns. When you call the Davenport University WellConnect line (866-640-4777) you will talk with a knowledgeable and experienced clinician who can help connect you to the resources you need.
How to access In-the-Moment Support:
The DU WellConnect line (866-640-4777) is staffed 24/7/365 with master's level clinicians who are available for in-the-moment telephonic support and direction. Davenport students can call the WellConnect line at any time to talk with a counselor. During the initial call, the WellConnect counselor will help you to work through your concerns. After the initial consultation, you will be offered a referral for up to four sessions of face-to-face or telephonic counseling with a dedicated clinician. If you want face-to-face counseling, WellConnect will connect you with a provider convenient to your home or work.
Other WellConnect Programs Available:
The New Parent Transition Program, is designed to provide new, veteran, and expecting parents with the tools, resources, and live support to help balance home and work life. The program is designed to help parents organize their daily expectations, create new routines, and manage all of the responsibilities that come with being parents.
After receiving the informational binder, you will schedule three, one-hour telephonic sessions with a doctorate level family psychologist.
For students who are struggling with financial issues, or who are simply seeking to better manage their finances, Davenport University's WellConnect program offers extensive budget and debt consultation services. This program will connect you with a trained and certified financial counselor to help you address your fiscal concerns.
