With proficiency in both computer information systems and business, Tony McCutchen serves as the Associate Department Chair in the College of Technology. The responsibilities include development and implementation of curriculum and courses within the department. This position is also responsible for the management and course assignments of faculty as well as adjunct faculty within the department. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University\'s mission, vision and cultural values.
Tony McCutchen is an elected officer on the University Advisory Council (UAC). As Sergeant-of-Arms he facilitates the University Mission by assisting in the forum for discussion on ideas, issues and opportunities to enhance the DU experience for all constituents. His community involvement includes being a board member of The Academy of Business, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship (ABLE) which appeals to high school students with an interest in the field of business.
A veteran of the United States Amy National Guard, Professor McCutchen was captain in Field Artillery. As a civilian, he has held positions in computer consulting, configuration engineering, to include being the IT manager of AIS construction in Grand Rapids Michigan. Professor McCutchen teaches a great variety of courses ranging from Security Information Assurance to Networking courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
