With experience in both marketing and management, Sally Armstrong serves as the Associate Department Chair for the Donald W. Maine College of Business at the Global Campus. In this role she develops and manages the undergraduate Business, Management and Sports Management online programs.
Sally was a former small business owner and marketing consultant in the UK before moving to the USA where she is now a permanent resident. During her career in the UK, she also worked in public relations for Bradford City Council; assisting with the grant writing for the National Museum of Photography and with the award winning marketing of the local area as a tourist city break destination. She subsequently accepted an international sales management appointment with the UK’s largest privately-owned wholesaler of antique and reproduction furniture. Before transitioning to her current online position, Professor Armstrong served in several campus roles at Davenport University including Department Coordinator for Management and Marketing, Academic Dean, and Campus Director at the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek locations,
Professor Armstrong holds the UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing professional diploma in marketing. She currently teaches creativity and innovation online courses, as well as the undergraduate foundation and capstone level business courses. Fascinated by technology and its potential of online learning, she has completed eight specialty e-learning courses at PhD level, and is a certified Quality Matters peer reviewer for online courses.
