"Doing the Right Projects Right"

Why Project Management?

The PMO presented on why formalized Project Management is important and how it has been implemented at Davenport University.  The slide deck of that presentation is available below.  If you would like more information about this presentation or the PMO, please contact the Director of Project Management.

The PMO provides tools, templates, and other resources. Our primary project management tool is Basecamp. With Basecamp the project managers are able to track project activities, communicate effectively with project team members and maintain all project documentation in one spot.

Project Risk - The Game

The PMO is available to facilitate an hour-long introduction to Project Risk.  This is done using an interactive board game created to introduce players to project risk management and help them develop strategies for dealing with the risk.  It can be effectively used in a classroom setting as an enhancement to a class on project risk, or as a department session to better understand how project risk affects project outcomes.  Session size is 8 - 16 individuals.  Contact the Director of Project Management for details.
