Panther Resource Closet

The Panther Resource Closet stocks unopened non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, and new or gently used professional clothing that is in style, clean, and in good condition. The closet is designed to provide these resources free of charge to all enrolled students who might need them.

Want to donate to the closet? We currently have enough clothing, but you can bring your nonperishable food or hygiene items to the Center for Campus Life. There is a drop off box so no need to make an appointment.

How Do I Use the Closet?

Students may access the closet anonymously or by contacting the Center for Campus Life, Career Services or the Office of Experiential Learning for support. It is located on the lower level of the academic building between the main elevator and Public Safety. You will be provided with articles of professional clothing to use for your function. When you are finished with the item, you may either keep it or return it for someone else to use. Please return any item you have worn to the Center for Campus Life office.

Wondering what is available. Below are some examples of what is stocked in the Panther Resource Closet.

  • Men’s dress clothing
  • Women’s dress clothing
  • Men’s and women’s shoes and accessories
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Non-perishable food items

Confused on what to wear? You can meet with a Career Services Coordinator to discuss your options and help you decide on the proper attire. Please log your use of the closet resources. To keep this vital resource in place for the students that come after you, please be sure and log what you use from the closet.  Slips can be anonymous if you choose.

Volunteers Needed

  • Volunteer to do alternations on a person-to-person basis. You would meet with the individual in need and then bring the garment home to sew.
  • Volunteers also needed for career fest on February 15th from 11am-3pm. You would need to help man the closet and clothing racks for students who will use the Panther Resource Closet for career fest.
