Short-Term Summer Faculty Led Programs

Davenport University's faculty-led short-term study abroad 2017 programs will take place during the Spring Summer Semester which starts in May 2017. Click on the links to see the exciting plans for programs that connect to your major and career goals. Specific details will be posted soon; visit this page periodically to check for updates. Applications (see link below)will be accepted starting December 1 and must be completed by January 25, 2017. Travel time is generally three weeks. Programs start in mid May and the latest end is late June.

Three Weeks in Paradise

May 15 to June 8, 2017
  • Private room and meals at Ningbo University
  • Field trips to places of cultural and historical importance  
  • Visits to international and Chinese businesses

European Business and Culture

Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium,The Netherlands,   


June 3 to 23, 2017
  • Locations: Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Frankfort, Heidelberg, Strasbourg, Milan, 
  • International business visits, including: BMW Car IT, Dow Chenical, Steelcase, Bloemenveilingen, Van Orrd NV.
  • Bi-lingual Guides
  • Important cultural sites, including: Anne Frank House, European Parliament, Dachau concentration camp, Heidelberg Castle.

African and Emerging Global Economies
Information for 2018 will be posted in Fall Semester 2017. 
We anticipate that program will be similar to the description here.
  • Travel with DU Faculty, Dr. Nyambane and Dr. Mwenda, both Kenyan nationals 
  • Visit the urban capitol of Nairobi
  • Safari to the Maasai Mara Natural reserve
  • Visit flower farms and tea plantations
  • Communicate in English as the official language


Exploring Global Business

Sports Management, Project Management, and Leadership
