SAT Test

Description:

 

The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to determine admissions decisions. This test is a multiple-choice, pencil and paper test administered by the College Board. The purpose is to measure high school students’ readiness for college and provide colleges with data points that can be used to compare applicants. College admissions representatives will review standardized test scores along with your high school GPA, letters of recommendation and other entrance requirements to determine eligibility to enter.

Registration:

You can register for the SAT test online at the College Board. Registration deadlines fall several weeks before each test date.

Test Details:

  • The SAT is 3 hours long. If you are also taking the SAT with Essay, the test will be 3 hours and 50 minutes.
  • There are two SAT sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing
  • Testing begins between 8 and 8:30am.
  • Only approved calculators are allowed and you must have an acceptable photo ID or you will not be allowed to test.

Testing Center

Davenport University is an official testing center location for delivering the SAT exam. Sign up using the registration button and select the Davenport University campus closest to you. The test is offered at our Lettinga, Holland and Warren campus locations.

ACT Test

Description:

 

The ACT® test is a a national college admissions examination accepted by all 4-year colleges and universities in the U.S.  This test is taken with pencil and paper. The purpose is to measure high school students’ readiness for college and provide colleges with data points that can be used to compare applicants. College admissions representatives will review standardized test scores along with your high school GPA, letters of recommendation and other entrance requirements to determine eligibility to enter.

You can register for the SAT test online at the College Board. Registration deadlines fall several weeks before each test date.

Test Details:

  • The ACT is 3 hours and 15 minutes long. If you are also taking the ACT with Writing, the test will be an additional 40 minute long.
  • There are four subject area tests: English, Mathematics, Reading and Science. If you are also taking the writing portion of the exam, then there is also a 40-minute writing test.
  • Testing begins after all examinees present by 8:00 am are checked in and seated. You will not be permitted to enter the testing area after 8:00 am.
  • Only approved calculators are allowed and you must have an acceptable photo ID or you will not be allowed to test.

Testing Center

Davenport University is no longer administering the ACT exam. However, ACT scores are still accepted by the university. Please contact your Admissions representative for score requirements.
