The Thursday evening dinner buffet and conference lodging will be provided at the Grand Rapids Doubletree hotel located at 4747 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. The hotel phone number is 616-957-0100.

Double-occupancy rooms will again be provided for all full-time faculty, distinguished adjuncts and TLCs who wish to participate in the live event and live outside the Grand Rapids/Holland area. If you prefer a single-occupancy room, Davenport will pay 50% of the cost. To register for the event, please use the online registration form.

Due to challenges with last-minute additions and cancellations, the TLI Committee has added the following guidelines for those reserving single-occupancy rooms.

  1. If you do not register under Davenport TLI event within the timeframe for registrations, DU will not be able to pay 50% of your room fee.
  2. When you register for a single-occupancy room, you must reserve the room with your own credit card.
  3. If you fail to cancel your room in the timeframe specified by the hotel, the credit card used to make your reservation will be charged the full room amount.

ADA Accomodations:

  • ADA fully accessible rooms are available at the Doubletree Hotel.  Please contact conference organizers if you require a fully accessible room.
  • Those requesting single rooms for medical reasons are asked to obtain a waiver directly from the HR team.  Contact  no later than May 15, 2017 if you would like to request a medically necessary single room.

NOTE:  When you contact HR, you will be provided with an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Request form to fill out and have your doctor complete.  You will still be responsible for reserving your single room with your own credit card no later than June 1, 2017.  However, if your paperwork is submitted and approved prior to the registration deadline, DU will provide full accommodation (i.e. pay for 100% of your room).  If your request form is not submitted and approved prior to the registration deadline and your request is approved, your credit card may be charged 50% of the room fee plus any applicable taxes.  In this case, you will be able to receive reimbursement through the DU expense reporting policy.  Please note that DU, as a non-profit entity, will not be able to pay the room taxes.

Additional information is included in the inseat registration form.  If you have additional questions, please contact Keri Dutkiewicz at
