What is IACET Accreditation?

IACET

Davenport University’s Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEx) Now Accredited by IACET! Accreditation demonstrates commitment to high-quality continuing education and training.

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has awarded Davenport University’s IPEx the industry-recognized Accredited Provider status. IPEx complies with the ANSI/IACET Standard, which is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in instructional practices. IACET Accredited Providers are the only organizations accredited to issue the IACET Continuing Education Unit (CEU). This accreditation includes our current and future classroom-based and online training programs.

Why is this important? - IPEx has always been committed to quality education in an adult-focused learning environment. This achievement solidifies our vision as a leader in professional development. We are dedicated to the communities we serve, and we will continue working towards high-quality innovative programming that contributes to Michigan’s workforce development.

How did IPEx receive accreditation? - In order to achieve Accredited Provider status, DU’s IPEx completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET Standard.

What does this accreditation mean to me? - For our program participants, this means that DU’s IPEx is committed to providing the highest quality of training and resources. Compliance with the ANSI/IACET Standard certifies that there are policies and procedures in place to ensure our training participants receive high-quality education. From our industry-expert facilitators and quality curriculum to our registration and marketing, we are committed to quality.

What are CEUs? - Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are nationally recognized by a wide range of organizations, including professional associations, regulatory boards, corporations and universities. CEUs may be transferable college credits (contact your local college or university to verify). Continuing Education Units offer many benefits. Once the CEUs are earned, they are never lost and never have to be renewed. Employers also see the value of CEUs and know that applicants have gained knowledge and experience from quality institutions.

To receive full credit and earn CEUs, participants must be in attendance, successfully complete all activities, and demonstrate achievement of the learning outcomes. The facilitator will explain how to reach success for the course and demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes at the beginning of the session. Partial CEUs will not be given for partial completion of trainings. Verify our IACET Accreditation.

IPEx at Davenport University is a Registered Education Partner with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  Some of our courses are eligible for professional development credits (PDCs) approved by SHRM. Contact us to learn more.

Davenport University has been reviewed and approved as a provider of project management training by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Davenport University has been approved by PMI to issue PDUs for project management programs.
