Title IX

A federal civil rights law of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title IX protects people from sex discrimination in educational programs and activities at institutions that receive federal financial assistance. Specifically: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. Davenport University is committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination on the basis of sex. Resources are available on our website to assist students, faculty and staff who wish to address concerns related to discrimination on the basis of sex. In addition, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and sexual violence in all forms is prohibited under Title IX. Our Title IX team strongly encourages anyone in this community who has been a victim, or who is aware of an incident of sexual misconduct to report the incident immediately. Any questions regarding Title IX may be referred to the University's Title IX Coordinators, or to the Office of Civil Rights.
