- Passage of Michigan Teacher Test of Certification (MTTC) is required to receive an interim teaching certificate-Subject Area Test (for those seeking teacher certification or certified teachers seeking new endorsements) or if applicable testing through Michigan Occupational Competency Assessment Center (MOCAC). The Subject Matter Test can be taken prior to or after admission in order to receive certification and qualify to be hired by a school district.
