Annual Academic Program Assessment

Ensuring our students' success

DU assesses all programs to ensure a sound curriculum that is relevant to the academic goals of Davenport students.

  • An annual Assessment is a formative assessment geared toward improving programs' curriculum on a yearly basis and to catch any program issues that may be developing in a timely manner.
  • Annual Assessment is the foundation for the seven-year cycle program review that looks at the relevancy of the program in regards to the mission of the University as well as whether intended learning outcomes are being met.

Our outcomes-based approach to program evaluation looks at student learning outcomes and whether Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are being met.  KPI and program assessment data are updated annually and are available on the Program Dashboard in WebFocus Managed Reporting.
