Academic Goals and Undeclared Majors

In order to be eligible for financial aid, students are required to be enrolled in a diploma or degree-seeking program.

If you have an “undeclared” major, you will receive notification from the Financial Aid Office that indicates you need to declare a major before you will receive financial aid. Once you have met with your advisor to declare an eligible major we will award your aid. You may notify our office to expedite the process.

If you are a new student to Davenport with zero transfer credits, you will be eligible to receive financial aid with an “undeclared” major status as long as you have not earned more than 24 total credits toward a bachelor’s or associates degree and/or more than 13 total credits toward a diploma program.

If you have questions regarding your degree and/or major status, please contact your advisor.
