Davenport University offers a variety of nursing programs. Entry into each program is competitive and each one has specific admissions criteria. Your admissions representative is available to assist you in completing the application for our Nursing Program. Step I
Review the admissions criteria listed for your specific program
If you are new to DU, please apply for admission to the University first (on your left). Current DU students may proceed to Step II.
Please note that for consideration into our nursing program, a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
Official Transcripts must be sent from your school(s) directly to the Davenport University Registrar at electronictranscripts@davenport.edu or by mail.

Step II
Complete the nursing application specific for your designated program
The following applications are available through NursingCAS:
- BSN Pre-Licensure, High School Direct Admit Program (Grand Rapids - Lettinga, Great Lakes Bay - Midland, Lansing and Warren)
- BSN Pre-Licensure, BSN (Grand Rapids - Lettinga, Great Lakes Bay - Midland, Lansing and Warren)
- This includes VBSN, LPN to BSN, Paramedic to BSN and MA to BSN
- PN Program, High School Direct Admit Program (Warren)
- PN Program, PN (Warren)
- MSN: Generalist/Family Nurse Practitioner Program (On-line)
Items needed for NursingCAS:
- Contact information for two professional references (forms will be emailed)
- Professional statements
- Davenport student ID number

BSN Completion and Concurrent program applicants apply using the paper application process
NursingCAS is not used for the BSN Concurrent programs. Please print the paper application below and follow the instructions listed on page 1 of the application. All paper applications must be mailed to the registrar's office for processing.

Step III
Register for and complete ATI TEAS Examination
TEAS scores will upload from ATI to the DU Registrar upon completion of the exam at a DU testing site. Students that test elsewhere will send official transcripts to the DU Registrar via ATI.
*TEAS is required for PL BSN and PN Program candidates only
Additional program notes
- Only complete applications will be reviewed by the Nursing Admissions Committee. Decisions made by the Committee are final.
- Students will be asked to complete a criminal background check, after acceptance in the program. This will take place in your first semester. The policies, procedures and form related to the criminal background check are displayed in the COHP Appendix A-4.
