An inspiring legacy continues through the Eileen DeVries Family Foundation at Davenport

Eileen DeVries leaves a legacy that is inspiring! A nationally recognized leader in her profession as former senior vice president of investments at Merrill Lynch, Eileen built a prosperous career in Grand Rapids that spanned 40 years while also raising five children. She passed away on May 16, 2017 due to complications from cancer.

Scholarship Spotlight – Leaving a Legacy in support of Nursing

Gloria Neve, sister of Francine Neve Sherman, says Francine was a true Nightingale “Lady with the Lamp.” She was dedicated to the alleviation of suffering and the restoration of health. She also took great comfort in her religious beliefs.

Each year, the Office of Alumni and Development give back by contributing scholarships for students in need of financial assistance. Many times this generous contribution is the only thing keeping students enrolled as a college student. This video is a special thanks to the Office of Alumni and Development Association for giving students the opportunity to enhance their skills and continue down their career path.
