Arriving in the United States

As an international student, it is important that you prepare for travel.  Whether it's, before you arrive in the United States, when you return to your home country or travel for other purposes.  Below is a list of required and recommended documents you should carry with you during your travel (do not pack them away).

  • Valid passport
  • Unexpired F1 visa
  • Signed I-20
  • Employment Authorization Document (EAD): for OPT students only

Once you land in the United States

If you have requested to be picked up from the airport, a Davenport University van will be waiting for you at the airport. The Davenport van will only be operated on move-in day, and if you have requested this service in advance.

If you experience flight delays or changes to your itinerary, please call 616.446.7098 or 616.544.5041. This will ensure the Davenport van driver is aware of your change in arrival status.
